Macon Early College

The Macon Early College high school is part of the early college program. It is located next to the Macon County branch of Southwestern Community College and Macon County's public library in Franklin, NC. Southwestern Community College is a partner to Macon Early College in that college courses are taken as a student of both schools. As of 2008 SCC has been ranked 4th in the list of America's best community colleges. It is one of the three high schools in the Macon area, including Franklin High School and Union Academy. This program was designed to enhance and enrich a student's educational career by providing the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and associate degree.
